Primavera

- APA presents stunning young Melbourne pianist, Amir Farid, winner of the prestigious 2006 Australian National Piano Award, in his first outing with the orchestra. Experience Amir live in musical conversation with APA Chamber Orchestra at BMW Edge, Federation Square.

Program

Haydn, Symphony No. 57. Were coloratura not a term for voice, it might have been coined for this - a virtuosic solo for nearly every leader.

Mozart, Piano Concerto in A, K414. From Mozart's richest vein, composed in the year of his marriage to Constanze - sure to fascinate and move.

Bartok, Divertimento. Curiously named, this great work engages in a battle between the forces of light and darkness.
